Podcasts

I am no podcatcher (a person who looks for and listens to podcasting) but I managed to find some podcasts on thephysicaleducator.com. It was created in 2013 by Nathan Horne and Joey Feith who get together and talk about physical education, health and technology which is named #PhsyEd Podcast.

There are currently 8 podcast available to listen. I have listened to the first two so far, they are about 60-80 minutes in length.  They discussed many apps and resources that are available to use and which have worked for each of them. I liked the fact that is it an open honest conversation but I found that because it was so long that it was a bit dry at times.

I have never made a podcast but I think it would be a really interesting tool to use in the classroom. I think they could use it in any content area. One idea that would be interesting in physical education would be a mock interview between an athlete and a reporter.

I think this was a great tech task because I didnt remember what a podcast was from last year and I found a great resource that will help me in my future career. I defiantly understand much more about them. I hope to make or have my students create one in my class.
